To provide research and specialized communications services that support the creation of content aimed at influencing key policies, maintaining and enhancing WFP’s visibility and reputation, and supporting fundraising activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, or in a related academic field from a recognized Academic Institution.
At least six years of professional work experience in a relevant role
Has demonstrated a sound understanding of WFP communication techniques and activities, as well as awareness of the socio-political context in which WFP operates.
Has demonstrated sound understanding of traditional and new media terrain and understands how to utilize opportunities to improve WFP’s reputation and visibility.
Has demonstrated excellent understanding of key policies necessary for reaching Zero Hunger and insight into how to produce powerful content and carry out impactful campaigns in support of the same.
Has experience running social media for an international organization.
Has experience providing training and mentorship for staff in communication skills and the agility to adapt style according to the team’s training needs.
Has experience producing multimedia content for humanitarian and/or international development campaigns and knowledge of the latest and most effective design, photo and video editing software.
